There is probably no theater in the world whose repertoire has not been enriched by the opera Tosca Floria by the outstanding composer Giacomo Puccini. It is considered to be one of the greatest musical creations of the twentieth century.
Floria Tosca is a veritable ocean of passion. The plot is based on a true story. The outstanding singer Floria Tosca and the famous artist Mario Cavaradossi - live a life of creativity. But due to circumstances they involuntarily become victims of tragic events. At the same time, their love and loyalty only grow stronger, and their trials make them even stronger. In this, the 88th season of the Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theatre director Andrey Slonim, Honoured Art Worker of Uzbekistan, has presented a new version of Tosca Floria. Anvar Ergashev, the musical director and conductor of the performance, is the Honored Art Worker of Uzbekistan. Actually, the spectators were expecting two premieres at once. The first one was on November 26. Leading soloists of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre Nadezhda Bandelet (Tosca), Rustam Alimardanov (Cavaradossi) and Mahmud Ruziev (Scarpia) performed the main roles. In the second premiere, Tashkent residents met with bright guests. SOTHIS AEGIS took care of this and assisted in inviting foreign performers. The role of Tosca Floria was played by Zhupar Gabdullina, the leading soloist of the "Astana - opera", honored worker of Kazakhstan, successfully performing on many opera stages of Europe. The conductor of the performance that evening was Vyacheslav Volich, maestro from Russia (Moscow Musical Theatre named after Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko). The State Academic Bolshoi Theatre presented the performance staged by Georgy Gelovani. It should be noted that for the first time in the history of the theater opera "Floria Tosca" was performed not in Russian, but in Italian.
Zhupar Gabdullina is an Honored Worker of Kazakhstan. The leading soloist of the opera, Laureate of the international competitions of vocalists. She graduated from the Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy majoring in "Solo Singing" (class of docent R. A. Smailova, 2003). She did her post-graduate studies there in the class of Professor, Honoured Artist of the RK Sh.K. Abilov (2003-2005). 2007-2013 gg. - Soloist of the opera at the Abai State Academic Theatre Bolshoi Theater. Since 2013 - leading soloist of the opera of GTOB "Astana Opera". She has performed at Carnegie Hall (New York), SonyCentre (Toronto), Stadsschouwburg (Antwerp), De Doelen Concert Hall (Rotterdam) and Hanoi National Opera and Ballet Theatre (Vietnam).
Vyacheslav Volich is a graduate of the Belarusian State Academy of Music (class of Professor G. Provatorov, People's Artist of Russia) and the Academy's Master of Music (head - Professor A. Anisimov, People's Artist of Belarus). He is a laureate of the First National Theatre Prize of the Republic of Belarus (for the production of the opera Nabucco by G. Verdi), the owner of the award of the Belarus Trade Union Federation in literature and art, the Francisc Skorina Medal, the Special Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus to Art Workers and Artists for the great personal contribution to revival of the old Belarusian music. From 2001-2006, he was Principal Guest Conductor of the Mersin Opera and Ballet Theatre in Mersin, Turkey. Since 1993 he has been a conductor of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus.
